There was much discussion regarding the elimination of single use plastic bags and straws within the Borough through the enactment of an appropriate Ordinance. This is seen as part of the Borough's involvement in The Clean Water Initiative.
It was reported that the Borough, with the encouragement of neighboring municipalities and the Army Corps of Engineers, is working with the OEP to make the temporary access road running from Avalon Boulevard to Borough's CDF a permanent structure.
At the June 27th Work session it was explained that the several new Ordinances to be voted on at the following Regular Meeting were needed to implement the COAH Agreements between the Borough and the Fair Share Housing Agency.
