During the Public Comments period, a spokesman for the Marijuana Industry presented the positive aspects of allowing the sale of marijuana within the Borough of Avalon. The spokesman, a union representative for marijuana workers from Blackwood New Jersey, invited Council Members for a tour of existing marijuana outlets. He also outlined tax benefits and opportunities for women in the growing industry and pointed out their record of hiring retired law enforcement personnel and veterans.
