At the July 13 meeting of the Planning/Zoning Board, the Board heard an application for a site plan waiver and variances for an awning to be constructed over the Circle Tavern patio.  Basically, the Applicant’s plan was to construct an aluminum frame over the existing patio to support a canvas covering.  The applicant sought approval of a zero front yard setback, where five feet was required and a four-foot side yard setback where five feet was required.  The current patio has walls with the requested setbacks, so the framework for the awning would be set on these walls.

The Board approved the requested variances.
