Borough Council: April 28th
At the April 28th Council Meeting the following actions were taken or discussed as noted:
A resolution was approved for an indemnification agreement in connection with the 2021 beach back passing project and having heavy equipment travel county roads
A resolution was approved to appoint 6 Class 1 officers and 5 Class 2 officers for a one-year term
A resolution was approved for the renewal of the lease with the Cape May County MUA for a portion of the 39th Street recreation area
A resolution was approved awarding an emergency contract (without bidding) to Scarborough Marine Group for $244,217.35 for the emergency dredging of parts of Princeton Harbor. The bid is 27% below the engineer’s estimate.
A resolution was approved to release certain deed restrictions for properties at 75 East 10th Street and 99 East 27th Street
Information from various Department reports were reviewed:
Plans are being developed for various street upgrades that would be completed in 2022. The proposed streets are: 50th, 53rd, and 54th between Ocean and Dune Drive. These are low areas; improvements would include replacement of water and sewer lines as well as drainage for groundwater (this is area of high groundwater).

Update on live streaming of Council Meetings. The cost proposals were received by the Borough on 4/27 and will be discussed at a future Council meeting.
