Borough Council: March 9th
Council met on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 4:00 pm and addressed the following topics:
A public discussion regarding the Person-to-Person transfer (sale) of Liquor License 0501-33-004-003 from 21st Street Corporation (Jack's Place) to 24th Street, LLC. was held as planned. Council cannot take official action on the license transfer approval until the background check is received from the Avalon Police Department.

The information can be obtained by submitting a request to the Office of The Borough Clerk. Ms. Wright stated that there were concerns about possible alternatives for use of the license. Specifically she mentioned the possibility of a boutique hotel, the Caldwell Realty location, or the development of a boardwalk property. She indicated that she will apply to the Clerk's office for the information.
There was some discussion of the beach back passing operation which is planned to start later this month.
A Resolution was approved for a change in law firms of the Borough Solicitor and reallocation of fees for certain professional services contracts with Cruccio, Pepper,DeSanto & Ruth, and the firm of Blaney, Donohue & Weinberg, PC. This issue reflects the move of Borough Clerk, C Danielle Nollett to a new firm.
