Council held their regularly scheduled sessions on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 and addressed the following topics:

1. Council approved several resolutions for routine annual contracts with a variety of vendors.  These include Coastal Research Center at Stockton State University, Animal Control, and several others.

2. Avalon has again contracted with Bay Atlantic Symphony for a concert at 7:00 PM on July 4, 2023.

3. Council approved a resolution to continue live streaming of Council Meetings.

4. The hydraulic beach fill is now scheduled to begin in March 2023 with anticipation completion prior to Memorial Day.

5. An ordnance was adopted requiring all rental and business properties to carry a designated amount of liability insurance.

6. Property owner Patrick Beach commended the EMS service for the phenomenal help they provided to his wife this past weekend.  His wife had a serious cardiac issue, is hospitalized and is doing well.

7. Martha Wright and Mr. Quaterman raised their concerns with Council about the status of the review of the Sports Fishing Center.
