Avalon Borough Council met for their regularly scheduled meeting on October 9, 2024.  The following issues of general interest were addressed at the very brief meeting:

1. Council approved a second reading of Ordinance #885-2924 related to a drainage easement at 522 42nd Street.  It is not needed for any public purpose and has been reviewed by Independent Counsel Allen Gould.

2. Avalon resident Kevin Dougherty addressed Council about his ongoing concerns related to boat slip assignments at the Avalon Sport Fishing Center.  He has raised the issue with Council at several meetings over the past few years. 

3. It was also noted that the renewal of the lease of Moran's at the Sport Fishing Center will be discussed at the next Council Meeting.
