The Avalon Public Works Department has provided information for 2021 concerning the collection of trash, recycling , and spring/fall bulk collection. Twice a week trash/recycling collection will begin on Monday, June 3 and end on Monday September 13. Spring Bulk items can be set out between April 30 - May 9 for pick up starting May 10. Fall Bulk items can be set out between September 3 - September 12 for pick up starting on September 13. The Paper Shredding Day will be on Saturday May 8 from 9:00 - 2:00 pm at the Public Works Building. Additional information can be found here or at the Avalon Public Works website .

The Courtesy Trash and Recycling Drop off center located at the Public Works yard (15th Street entrance) operates daily from 7:00 to 3:00 pm. The drop off is closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
