The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection announced the release of an Interim Report for the New Jersey Back Bays Coastal Storm Risk Management Study. Details concerning both the study and the procedures for public comment are available at the link below. The Interim Report contains a set of alternative plans that manage risk and reduce damages from coastal storms.
Avalon residents, particularly those of you with properties along the bay, should take time to review at least the summary material available on the website and consider submitting comments on the report by April 1, 2019.
