Community Hall at 30th and the Beach
This is a friendly reminder that AHLOA’s Annual Meeting features Mayor Martin Pagliughi who will present Avalon’s State-of-the-Borough. Mayor Pagliughi’s presentation usually includes Borough fiscal financial matters, activities, plans and goals. Following his remarks, questions and answers from the floor will be held. This is a public event for AHLOA members as well as other residents and property owners in Avalon.
In addition to the Mayor’s material, Stephen Rochette from the US Army Corps of Engineers will discuss plans for the 2020 Hydraulic Beach Fill and other related beach replenishment considerations. Also, the new slate of AHLOA Officers (for our 2020 fiscal year starting September 1st) will be nominated. Refreshments start at 9:30am at Community Hall, 3001 Avalon Avenue.
Recently, AHLOA conducted a survey of membership’s matters of interest. For your information, the most popular were:
- Flood control
- Environmental (i.e. Beach Management)
- Construction Update
- Real Estate Valuation
- Taxes and Insurance
These and other issues are examples of the types of topics the Mayor and staff generally respond to at the AHLOA Annual Meeting. Take advantage of this opportunity to ask your own questions which will be submitted via index card for topical grouping and Q&A prioritization. The upcoming Annual Meeting is very timely based on our recent questionnaire and the many happenings in Avalon.
As you are aware, AHLOA’s goal is to enhance the overall value of residency in Avalon. Since 1961, we have grown to 1250+. We have a strong collective voice. Your voice and input are highly invited.
