There were no applications presented at the June 13 meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board. The application for 292 33rd placed on hold at the May 9 meeting was withdrawn.
The Planning and Zoning Board reviewed proposed Ordinance Amendments to the Avalon Code in Chapter 20,26, and 27. The amendments included:
Clarification of how to measure the height of fences limited to 4 feet
Increase the fees for PODS (Personal on demand storage units) and extend the maximum duration for temporary storage to 180 days in any consecutive 12-month period
Reduce the buffer for on ground pools from 6 feet to 4 feet, to create uniformity for all swimming pools
Surveys required to obtain Certificate of Occupancy to show all as built conditions and include the total area of impervious coverage
Require a safety fence around buildings being elevated
Increases in several demolition permit fees
The Board agreed that all of the proposed changes were not inconsistent with the Master Plan and a letter would be sent to Council.
