Borough Council: December 15th

Council met and the following issues were discussed and/or acted upon:

  • The Council meeting opened with the mayor presenting Certificates of Service to Borough employees. Those recognized included Amanda Seltzer, Danielle Nollett, Jim Craft, Thomas Ball, and David Garfield.

  • Atlantic City Weatherman Joe Martucci presented a video to Council which graphically highlighted what definitions of predicted flooding conditions actually mean. This video will be posted on the Borough Website and is only about three minutes long.

  • There is a need to increase beach tag fees for the summer of 2022. Pre-season tags will increase to $28 from $25. In-season, these tags will increase from $33 from $30. Weekly tags will increase to $16 from $13.

  • Council approved a resolution to hire Owen Pickett as a full time police officer

  • A resolution approving the 2021 Flood Plan Management Plan Evaluation was approved.

  • There was a discussion regarding the issuance of a raffle license to the Garden Club for an on-premise merchandise raffle to be held April 6, 2022

  • Council approved a resolution to provide engineering services to Mott Mac Donald for Bay Park Marina improvements for $425,000.00
