Council held the regularly scheduled sessions on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The following issues of interest were addressed:

Director of Recreation Chuck McDonnell briefed Council on plans for the coming season. Sports and Education Camps will be returning with some changes in tennis and pickle ball. Slight increases in fees can be expected across the board. Details will be published in the Annual Recreation Guide and will be posted on the Borough's website (Department of Recreation).
A Resolution releasing a Performance Guaranty in the amount of $83,282 submitted by Thomas Welch for eight lots in the 800 block of 21st Street was approved. The original Guarantee was delivered on July 31, 2018 for $164,220. A partial release in the amount of $80,938 was approved on Marc 11, 2020. The remaining release was recommended on February 22, 2023 after a zoning inspection of the properties was performed. The $83,282 approved at this meeting completed the Performance Guaranty.
.The issue of water usage and conservation was also addressed. A 2012 ordinance had split the Borough in half for purposes of irrigation. It is recommended that this be changed to odd and even numbered property addresses to coincide with odd and even number dates. This will allow for irrigation on a daily basis within the Borough. A need for public education was discussed.
