Three applications were on the Planning and Zoning Board agenda for October 10, 2023:
Two of the applications involved the same property. One of these applications was an appeal from the Zoning Officer’s decision, and the other was a request for a variance for a swimming pool. Shortly before the meeting, the Borough engineer notified the Board that he would not be able to attend the meeting. The Board, rather than hearing these applications relying on the Engineer’s written report, postponed hearing them to the November meeting.
The third application was for a minor subdivision of property located at 1969 and 1939 Ocean Drive. The property in question has a home on each of two over-sized lots. Applicant seeks to have the lots subdivided into three conforming lots. To do so, one of the homes needs to be demolished or moved; otherwise, it would stradle the property line of one of the newly-created lots. The applicant agreed to posting a bond to assure that the house would be removed. The Board approved the subdivision.
