The Council Meeting started with the Mayor swearing in new police officers for the Borough. Their appointments had been announced at an earlier Council Meeting.
The agenda then proceeded to address the following:
Council discussed the emergency dredging of Pennsylvania Harbor and passed a resolution providing for funding without a bid. Trident Piling Company is the contractor.
Discussion regarding the application for a grant to fund body police cameras was conducted.
There was a discussion of the "Advanced Cell" master license agreement with Verizon related to the implementation of G5 technology
Ordinances were introduced providing for bond Issuance to fund capital Improvements in Avalon’s water and sewer systems
There was a public comment made about the dangers created ty young people on bicycles this summer, and it was noted that the police department was focused on the issue.
