At the June 23rd Council Meeting the following items occurred / actions were taken:
The formal meeting was prefaced with the recognition of the retirement from Council of two members. The mayor presented plaques to Dr. Nancy Hudanich and Mr. Jim Deever recognizing their service to the community. AHLOA president Chuck O'Hara recognized their service and thanked them for their efforts. He also noted that AHLOA had made contributions to local charities in their names as follows:
Dr. Hudanich: to the Cape May City Special Services Division
Mr. Deever: to the Avalon Recreation Department for support of children’s' programs

The need for dredging Pennsylvania Harbor was discussed at length and plans will be developed by borough engineer Mott MAC Donald
Council resolved to submit a grant application with NJDOT for the reconstruction of Dune Drive southbound between 74th and 76th streets
Council authorized Garrison Architects to prepare specifications and advertise for bids for the Avalon Fire Department 2021 Station Addition and Renovation project
The appointment of Jay A. Gebauer as a Class IV Member and Greg Kiziek as Alternate to the Planning and Zoning Board was confirmed
An Ordinance providing for NO PARKING ZONE on the North Side of the 800 Block of 21st Street, in the vicinity of the Marina, was approved
