Only one application for zoning relief was on the September 10, 2024, meeting agenda of the Planning & Zoning Board. In this application, Wawa was requesting a setback variance to accommodate a walk-in refrigerator addition. Because the Board did not have a full complement of members that could vote on zoning issues, the Board granted the Applicant’s request to postpone the hearing to a date when the requisite number of eligible voting members were present.
Roughly twenty members of the public were disappointed by the postponement. Wawa’s attorney, however, offered to stay and hear the public’s concerns about the pending application.
The hearing for Wawa’s application has been rescheduled for October 8, 2024.
